Jason Schirripa currently lives, plays and teaches in the Central New York area. His education includes Onondaga Community College, University of Central Florida, and the State University of New York at Potsdam. As a performer, Jason has participated in DCI, DCA and WGI member organizations. He has also performed internationally as a soloist both in the marching and concert percussion realms. He currently freelances as a drum set and concert percussionist with groups around Central and Northern New York, including Orchestra of Northern New York, Northern Symphonic Winds and Central Winds. As an educator, Jason has been an instructor with a variety of marching programs in New York and Florida, including FFCC, NYSPC, WGI and DCI finalist groups. He has also served on the faculty at St. Lawrence University in Northern New York as well as the Crane Youth Music summer camp at SUNY Potsdam. Jason's professional affiliations include National Association for Music Education, Percussive Arts Society and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, Inc. Jason proudly endorses ProMark sticks and mallets.
